Adventure Power no longer exist, this battery charger is made and imported by the same companies that made and imported the Adventure Power 4000. I have done a lot of testing with this unit and it appears to be identical to the old adventure power 4000 in every way. UPG Battery Maintainer 4000, 12 volt 4 amp Battery Charger/Maintainer for your generator. This is a 3 stage charger to keep battery charged in a home back up application or to boost the low output charging system in some generators. For comparison purpose I have placed photos of the original Adventure 4000 next to photos of the UPG 4000 so you can see for yourself.
To use this product as a battery Maintainer, connect the output to the Generator’s starting battery with the ring terminal lead supplied and plug the input power cord into a home outlet.
To use this product to boost low output charging systems found on some generators, connect the output to the Generator’s starting battery with the ring terminal lead supplied and plug the input power cord into one of the outlets on the generator itself. On most generators there is enough room above the battery to place the UPG charger Maintainer 4000 above the battery and tuck the cords neatly out of the way.
This item is a standard off the shelf UPG 4000 unit that I found works very well on the portable generators. I am listing it on my site simply to allow one stop shopping for my customers. If you shop around you may find is on sale sometimes for less money.
