Our etrailer 3200 Extended Run Time Fuel kits were specifically developed to work correctly with the etrailer 3200 and its sisters: the Firman 3200, 3300, and 3650 inverter Generators, which all share the same 193cc engine. It is not a through the cap, one size fits all, or a gravity feed system. Our kits use an internal fuel pump included in the kit to transfer fuel so the remote tank does not need to be higher than the generator to work correctly. Simply place the remote tank on the ground next to the generator then connect the fuel hose and you are all set. It is very important that you use only the components supplied in the kit, do not mix and match with locally improvised items due to the fact that they may not be 100% compatible and therefore inhibit performance of the kit. We do our best to select the highest quality components for our kits, for example we tested several different brands of prime ball hose before we chose the Yamaha hose due to the fact that it outlast the other brands and it stays more flexible in cold temperatures.
Convenience
You will never have to shut down your generator to refuel again. Our fuel transfer system is fully automatic and uses a vacuum type fuel pump so it can be used safely while unattended. Our etrailer 3200 Extended Run Time Fuel kit is designed to alternate from one tank to the next while the generator is still running. Our kit will allow you to alternate between as many tanks of any size you choose. Based on manufacturer fuel consumption claims with a 6 gallon fuel tank you can run an etrailer up to 13 hours at full load or 26 hours at half load before alternating to the next fuel tank.
Safety
You will never have to risk personal injury again pouring gasoline into a hot generator. With our AUXILIARY REMOTE FUEL TANK SYSTEM you can just switch to a remote fuel supply more safely at a distance of up to 10 feet away from this generator.
Compatibility
This product has been validated for use on gasoline versions of this generator only. It is not recommended for use on propane or dual fuel versions of this generator.
The fuel tank itself is not included in this kit due to the fact that it seems no two customers need the exact same size fuel tank. Here is a link that may help you find the proper sized fuel tank for your needs. Due to quality control issues with many of the different brands of fuel tanks, I recommend using the Flow N’ Go Fuel Caddy as a fuel tank. Please note, the fuel caddy will have to be standing upright when you are running the generator, but it can be laid flat for transporting or storage. If you wish to use this fuel caddy as a remote fuel tank, my Fuel Caddy Connector Kit has the parts needed to make the job simple. For more info on the quality control issues with the different brands of tanks please watch the fine tuning and trouble shooting video.
Why I recommend using a Fuel Caddy for a Remote Tank

Mike Pizzolatto –
I bought a pair of Firman 3200 generators and a parallel kit to run our 5th wheel RV while boon docking in September of 2019. In early October I contacted Paul Wolaver with Pinellas Power Products to see if he made a kit for the Firman generators. http://www.pinellaspowerproducts.com. Paul makes extended run kits for Hondas, Champion, HF Predator and several other small inverter generators. Paul said he had not heard of the Firman series generator and asked if I could send he some pictures. I did. On November 8th, 2019 Paul advised me that he had purchased a Firman 3600 generator and once it arrived it would take him about 2-3 weeks to develop a extended run kit for the firman. After about a month I checked his website and discovered the kit for the Firman had been developed. The kit for the Firman 3600 will also fit the Firman 3200. Only difference in a smaller engine in the 3200’s. I received one extended run kit for Christmas and then purchased a second kit for my other generator. I installed one last 12/29/19 and then the other kit was installed on 1/4/20. I had ordered two Moeller 6 gallon marine tank which came in on 11/4/20. In the video I posted you can see the two generators sitting in may shed and each connected to a Moeller 6 gallon marine tank. Both are running and are siphoning gas up to the generators. These kits are true extended run kits which are not gravity feed systems. They are pump systems. Took a little over 2 hours to install the first kit and a little less than 2 hours to install the second kit. Both do exactly what is advertised. I would like to Thank Paul Wolaver with Pinellas Power Products for not only developing a kit for the Firman generators but for purchasing a Firman generator first. With the extended run kits I can run both generators for about 20 hours at 3/4 load so you never have to fill up a hot generator or stop the generator to refuel, you just refill the marine fuel tanks which are 10-12 ft away from the generators. Much safer.
