Why I recommend using a Fuel Caddy for a Remote Tank Installation Instructions
This kit contains all the items needed to connect a fuel caddy for use as a remote fuel tank with one of my fuel kits. If you have watched my fine tuning and troubleshooting video you will see that there are a lot of issues caused by leaky lift tubes inside many fuel tanks. Many fuel caddys do not use a lift tube so they do not have any of the issues associated with lift tubes and they have wheels which make it easier to move. The installation instruction video was shot using a 14 gallon Duramax, Flo N’Go , however this kit is compatible with any fuel caddy that uses a 1/2 inch inside diameter fuel hose.
The fuel tank itself is not included in this kit due to the fact that it seems no two customers need the exact same size fuel tank. Here is a link that may help you find the proper sized fuel tank for your needs. Due to quality control issues with many of the different brands of fuel tanks, I recommend using the Flow N’ Go Fuel Caddy as a fuel tank. Please note, the fuel caddy will have to be standing upright when you are running the generator, but it can be laid flat for transporting or storage. If you wish to use this fuel caddy as a remote fuel tank My connector kit contains all the extra parts that you will need. For more info on the quality control issues with the different brands of tanks please watch the fine tuning and trouble shooting video.
