Our Generac GP3300i Extended Run Time Fuel Kit was specifically developed to work correctly with the Generac GP3300i and its sisters: the Generac GP3000i, and the Craftsman 3300i, which all share the same 149cc engine. It is not a through the cap, one size fits all, or a gravity feed system. Our kits use an internal fuel pump included in the kit to transfer fuel so the remote tank does not need to be higher than the generator to work correctly. Simply place the remote tank on the ground next to the generator then connect the fuel hose and you are all set. The fuel tank and the generator should be level with each other in order to run properly. It is very important that you use only the components supplied in the kit, do not mix and match with locally improvised items due to the fact that they may not be 100% compatible and therefore inhibit performance of the kit. We do our best to select the highest quality components for our kits, for example we tested several different brands of prime ball hose before we chose the Yamaha hose due to the fact that it outlast the other brands and it stays more flexible in cold temperatures.
Convenience
You will never have to shut down your generator to refuel again. Our fuel transfer system is fully automatic and uses a vacuum type fuel pump so it can be used safely while unattended. Our Generac GP3300i Extended Run Time Fuel Kit is designed to alternate from one tank to the next while the generator is still running. Our kit will allow you to alternate between as many tanks of any size you choose. Based on manufacturer fuel consumption claims with a 6 gallon fuel tank you can run a Generac GP3300i up to 15 hours at full load or 29 hours at half load before alternating to the next fuel tank.
Safety
You will never have to risk personal injury again pouring gasoline into a hot generator. With our AUXILIARY REMOTE FUEL TANK SYSTEM you can just switch to a remote fuel supply more safely at a distance of up to 10 feet away from this generator.
Compatibility
This product has been validated for use on gasoline versions of this generator only. It is not recommended for use on propane or dual fuel versions of this generator.
The fuel tank itself is not included in this kit due to the fact that it seems no two customers need the exact same size fuel tank. Below is a link that may help you find the proper sized fuel tank for your needs. Due to quality control issues with many of the different brands of fuel tanks, I recommend using the Flo N’ Go fuel caddy as a fuel tank. Please note, the fuel caddy will have to be standing upright when you are running the generator, but it can be laid flat for transporting or storage. If you wish to use this fuel caddy as a remote fuel tank you will need to get hose clamps and a 1/2 hose barb to 1/4 FIP adaptor as shown in the fuel caddy video. For more info on the quality control issues with the different brands of tanks please watch the fine tuning and trouble shooting video.
